CHARITIES WE BELIEVE IN AND SUPPORT

Inspired by Matthew 25:35-36 & 40, the BMAA Harvest House here in Burleson assists "in the alleviation of poverty, disease, pain and suffering by providing needy persons with food, clothing, counseling, shelter, medication, treatment or any other goods and services that will serve to accomplish this purpose."  This organization is local and takes care of our friends and neighbors here in Burleson and Johnson County.

The Presbyterian Night Shelter in east Fort Worth has been serving the needs of Tarrant County's homeless for more than 25 years.  The largest provider of services for the homeless, they are the only free area emergency shelter without length of stay restrictions.  PNS includes a main shelter, "Safe Haven" residential homes, a safe house specifically for women and children, and the "Patriot House," a transitional housing program for veterans.  It is an awesome endeavor!

Adventist World Radio uses AM/FM, shortwave, satellite, podcasting and internet broadcasts to carry the gospel to people who are difficult to reach because of political restrictions on religion, cultural barriers to Christianity, and geographic barriers.  They presently broadcast in over 70 languages.

Gospel Outreach provides funding for local workers in some of the world's poorest countries in an effort to reach souls for Christ in the 10/40 window.  They have no paid employees.  All officers, division directors, board members, and administrative helpers are unpaid volunteers.

Maranatha Volunteers International spreads the gospel through the world as it builds people through the construction of urgently needed buildings.  They provide desperately needed buildings, but also offer opportunities for ordinary people to make service a part of their lives.  One of the neatest projects is the "One Day Church."  A high-quality, low-cost, quickly-constructed building is erected so that church members in poorer countries have a place to worship.  They are presently building One Day Churches in Swaziland, Lesotho, Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador. One-Day Churches are also being constructed in Zambia, Congo and Tanzania by other associated organizations.

Gospel Ministries International is a faith-based, volunteer-driven organization which seizes opportunities to carry God’s love, through sacrifice, to the world. Education, prison ministry, health care and care for the abandoned and needy are some of its priorities, while utilizing technology such as aviation and mass media to leverage the impact and influence of its mission.  This is a world-wide project headed by a man of enormous faith.
